The People Behind The Mission
Preserving stories. Honoring voices. Carrying the mission forward.
Veterans Unmasked is built by people who understand the weight of service, the importance of being heard, and the responsibility of preserving real stories before they are lost.
This is not just a team. It is a group committed to ensuring that no story is forgotten and no voice goes unheard.
Meet The Team Carrying The Mission Forward
Every person here plays a role in preserving stories that might otherwise be lost. This mission is personal. It is intentional. And it is only just beginning.
Remy McNamara
Remy is a U.S. Army combat veteran and Gold Star Husband whose life has been shaped by service, loss, resilience, and purpose. He founded Veterans Unmasked to preserve the stories of veterans, first responders, Gold Star families, and their loved ones through honest, long-form conversations. His mission is simple: ensure these voices are never forgotten and create a lasting archive for future generations.
April Hernandez
April brings the perspective of a military spouse and a deep commitment to serving those who have served others. As Vice President and Director of Operations, she oversees outreach, sponsorship development, guest relations, and community engagement. Her work helps ensure that every guest, supporter, and partner experiences the mission of Veterans Unmasked firsthand.
Aubrey Stokes
Aubrey serves as the civilian voice on the Veterans Unmasked board, bringing an essential community perspective. She is committed to bridging the gap between those who have served and the public, helping ensure these stories are understood, valued, and carried beyond the uniform.
Cortney Shipley
Cortney is married to a veteran and is deeply rooted in a family built on service and support. Through her work in the local education system, she is committed to helping others grow and creating meaningful impact in her community. She brings that same dedication to Veterans Unmasked, supporting the mission and the voices behind it.

Why We Do This
Veterans Unmasked was built on the belief that every story matters. The experiences of veterans, first responders, Gold Star families, and their loved ones deserve to be preserved, honored, and shared.
This team exists for one purpose: to ensure those voices are never lost.
Thank You
Not every story gets told. Veterans Unmasked exists to change that.
Every interview, every episode, and every conversation preserved becomes part of a living archive of service, sacrifice, resilience, and hope.
Thank you for standing with us as we preserve these voices for generations to come.
